For Q1 FY26, Sagarsoft reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 4,057.25 lakhs, up about 4.8% from Rs 3,870.76 lakhs a year ago. Despite topline growth, the company swung to a consolidated loss before tax of Rs 420.43 lakhs, versus a profit of Rs 270.27 lakhs in Q1 FY25, mainly because employee costs rose roughly 23% to Rs 3,242.10 lakhs and outsourcing costs jumped about 42% to Rs 816.75 lakhs. Consolidated loss for the period was Rs 430.83 lakhs (versus a profit of Rs 194.30 lakhs earlier), translating to a negative EPS of Rs (3.76). On a standalone basis, revenue fell about 24% to Rs 1,198.75 lakhs and the company posted a loss of Rs 63.14 lakhs against a profit of Rs 79.25 lakhs. Walked Chandiok & Co LLP issued an unmodified limited review report.
Margins have sharply compressed and the company has moved from profit to loss both on a standalone and consolidated basis, which is negative for near-term earnings. However, the losses stem largely from cost ramp-up and subsidiary investments rather than revenue collapse, so investors should watch whether revenue growth and cost discipline improve in coming quarters.
