Samkrg Pistons and Rings, an automotive components maker, reported standalone results for Q2 FY26 with total income of Rs. 7,212.24 lakhs, up about 16% from Rs. 6,226 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Profit after tax jumped to Rs. 287.27 lakhs (vs Rs. 196.94 lakhs, up ~46%), with EPS at Rs. 2.93 vs Rs. 2.01. For H1 FY26, total income rose to Rs. 13,680.64 lakhs from Rs. 11,987.75 lakhs, while PAT climbed to Rs. 575.04 lakhs from Rs. 385.25 lakhs (up ~49%). However, operating cash flow turned sharply negative at Rs. -679.26 lakhs for H1 FY26 compared to a positive Rs. 1,553.78 lakhs in H1 FY25, driven by higher receivables and lower trade payables. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
Strong top-line and bottom-line growth with expanding PAT signals healthy operational performance, but the steep swing into negative operating cash flow and a significant build-up in long-term borrowings (Rs. 1,976 lakhs vs nil earlier) are points investors should monitor closely.
