Samkrg Pistons and Rings reported Q3 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 66.46 crore, up about 15% YoY from Rs. 57.76 crore in Q3 FY25. However, profit for the quarter fell sharply to Rs. 1.54 crore from Rs. 2.24 crore a year ago, a drop of roughly 31%, while EPS slipped to Rs. 1.57 from Rs. 2.28. On a nine-month basis, revenue from operations declined about 12.5% YoY to Rs. 177.07 crore (vs Rs. 202.30 crore), and nine-month profit after tax fell to Rs. 6.10 crore from Rs. 7.29 crore. Total expenses rose in Q3 led by higher raw material and employee costs, pressuring margins. The statutory auditor (M.V.N. Murthy) issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Mixed signals for shareholders: Q3 topline growth is encouraging, but the sharp drop in quarterly profit and the 12%+ decline in nine-month revenue suggest margin pressure and demand weakness. Investors may view the weak profitability and year-to-date contraction cautiously in the near term.
