Sammaan Capital (formerly Indiabulls Housing Finance) reported a consolidated net loss of Rs. 1,807.46 crores for FY25, swinging sharply from a profit of Rs. 1,216.97 crores in FY24. Total revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 8,623.33 crores (from Rs. 8,474.87 crores), but expenses surged to Rs. 11,058.82 crores (from Rs. 6,976.08 crores), driven mainly by a sharp jump in loan-loss impairments to Rs. 5,068.50 crores (from Rs. 768.44 crores). On a quarterly basis, Q4 FY25 profit after tax was Rs. 324.04 crores versus Rs. 320.20 crores a year ago, though Q4 revenue slipped to Rs. 2,107.43 crores from Rs. 2,204.61 crores. Basic EPS for the year turned negative at Rs. (26.70) versus Rs. 23.83 last year. The joint statutory auditors (Nangia & Co LLP and M Verma & Associates) issued an unmodified opinion on the financial statements.
The full-year swing into a consolidated loss — largely due to a massive spike in provisions for bad loans — is a significant negative for shareholders and may weigh on the stock in the near term. However, Q4 showed a stable profit, operating cash flow turned strongly positive at Rs. 8,771.63 crores, and the company also raised equity capital (paid-up equity rose to Rs. 162.70 crores), which should support investor confidence over the longer term.
