Samsrita Labs reported a loss of Rs. 27.66 lakhs in Q1 FY26 (ended June 30, 2025), compared to a loss of Rs. 8.72 lakhs in the same quarter last year — the loss widened more than three times year-on-year. Revenue from operations was nil/negligible, with total income also near zero, while total expenses of Rs. 27.66 lakhs (employee costs Rs. 15.53 lakhs + other expenses Rs. 12.10 lakhs) drove the loss. Basic and diluted EPS stood at Rs. (0.19) versus Rs. (0.18) in Q1 FY25. Alongside the results, the board approved a preferential cash allotment of 34.91 lakh equity shares at Rs. 10 each (Rs. 3.49 crore) to non-promoters and a share-swap allotment of 45.50 lakh shares to shareholders of Qrops Advisory Services, making Qrops a 28.62% associate company. The 29th AGM is scheduled for 25th August 2025, and statutory auditor MGR & Co issued a clean (unqualified) limited review report.
The widening quarterly loss with virtually no operating revenue is a red flag for existing shareholders. However, the capital raise (~Rs. 3.49 crore) and the Qrops Advisory share-swap deal suggest the company is trying to pivot to a new business, which also brings significant equity dilution to current holders.
