The Sandesh Limited reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results. Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 7,289.86 lakhs, down about 3% from Rs. 7,536.13 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Total income was Rs. 12,517.18 lakhs, boosted by other income of Rs. 5,227.32 lakhs, which included Rs. 4,922.90 lakhs in net gains on equity and mutual fund investments. Profit before tax rose to Rs. 7,174.69 lakhs (vs Rs. 5,433.55 lakhs), and profit after tax grew to Rs. 5,833.85 lakhs (vs Rs. 5,049.39 lakhs), translating to EPS of Rs. 12.61. The Board also fixed August 22, 2025 as the record date for a Rs. 2.50 per share final dividend for FY24-25, appointed Mr. Hardik Joshi as Company Secretary, and approved continuation of CMD Falgunbhai C. Patel beyond age 70.
Despite a mild dip in core operating revenue, higher investment gains lifted bottom-line profits, which is a positive for shareholders. The final dividend and stable leadership continuation signal confidence, though a large share of profits continues to come from mark-to-market investment gains rather than operations.
