On the reaction day the stock moved 6.1 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 6.2 pts more than its Iron & Steel peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2FY27 consolidated total income was ₹1,519 crore, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation were ₹391 crore, and net profit was ₹261 crore. These rose 22%, 37% and 88% year on year. First-half net profit rose 60% to ₹489 crore; cash was ₹630 crore. Plans include a ₹220 crore Punjab steel expansion to 1.70 lakh tonnes a year, a ₹390 crore MedTech unit for December 2027 and a Q2FY28 beneficiation plant.
The strong quarter may support the stock, but new projects add capital spending, execution and approval risks.
