On the reaction day the stock moved 1.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.6 pts more than its Iron & Steel peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 standalone revenue rose 68% year on year to Rs 436.36 crore; profit after tax rose 243% to Rs 110.21 crore. Its margin before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation widened from 24% to 44.5%. Standalone H1 profit rose 34% to Rs 238.96 crore on flat revenue. Consolidated Q2 profit was Rs 138.87 crore; comparison is not meaningful due to the Arjas Steel deal. Manganese and iron ore limits were approved at 0.049 and 0.089 million tonnes.
Stronger earnings and higher production limits are positive, but the steel deal makes comparisons unreliable and finance costs rose sharply.
