On the reaction day the stock moved 3.6 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 3.4 pts more than its Restaurants peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Quarter revenue rose 19.6% from Rs 7,424.37 million to Rs 8,880.27 million, but loss after tax narrowed to Rs 15.13 million from Rs 127.87 million. In the first half, revenue rose 17.1% to Rs 17,789.87 million and profit after tax reached Rs 125.09 million, versus a Rs 145.25 million loss. A Rs 13.27 million merger cost was booked. Under the Devyani merger, holders would receive 177 Devyani shares per 100 Sapphire shares, subject to approval.
Revenue growth and the half-year profit turnaround help, but the quarterly loss and merger uncertainty may weigh on the stock.
