Saregama India reported annual revenue of Rs 82,064 lakhs for FY2026, down 18.7% from Rs 100,921 lakhs in FY2025. However, profit after tax grew 5.8% to Rs 21,505 lakhs from Rs 20,330 lakhs. The company achieved significant EBITDA margin expansion from 32.3% to 45.2% despite lower revenue, driven by cost optimisation (operational costs fell sharply from Rs 42,646 lakhs to Rs 18,515 lakhs). Music segment remained the core growth driver with revenue up 10% to Rs 67,996 lakhs. Exceptional items of Rs 853 lakhs were recorded due to new labour code implementation. The board declared interim dividend of Rs 8,676 lakhs. Auditors issued unmodified opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Revenue decline may concern investors in the short term, but strong margin expansion and PAT growth indicate improved operational efficiency. The Video and Events segments showed significant revenue decline which needs monitoring. Cash position strengthened with positive operating cash flows.
