Saregama India reported annual standalone revenue of Rs. 82,064 lakhs for FY2026, down from Rs. 1,00,921 lakhs in FY2025, representing an 18.6% revenue decline. However, profit after tax grew to Rs. 21,505 lakhs from Rs. 20,330 lakhs (up 5.8%), showing improved profitability through cost control. EPS increased to Rs. 11.19 from Rs. 10.57. Music segment revenue grew to Rs. 67,996 lakhs from Rs. 61,772 lakhs, but Video and Events segments saw significant declines. The company incurred exceptional items of Rs. 853 lakhs due to new labour code implementation. Cash and cash equivalents declined sharply from Rs. 5,383 lakhs to Rs. 1,110 lakhs due to investments including Rs. 32,516 lakhs in associate Bhansali Productions. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified opinion.
Revenue decline of 18.6% may concern investors focused on top-line growth, but strong PAT growth and improved margins indicate operational efficiency. The significant cash outflow for acquisitions and investments reduced liquidity. Clean audit opinion provides assurance on financial reporting quality.
