Saurashtra Cement reported Q1 FY27 standalone revenue of Rs 456.7 crore, up 7.8% from Rs 423.6 crore YoY. However, net profit fell 45% to Rs 9.2 crore from Rs 16.8 crore YoY, with EPS at Rs 0.83 versus Rs 1.51. Profit before exceptional items dropped 55% to Rs 12 crore, showing sharp margin compression. The Cement segment profit declined to Rs 24.3 crore from Rs 33.3 crore, while Paints segment losses widened to Rs 9.4 crore from Rs 4.2 crore YoY. Auditor Manubhai and Shah LLP issued an unqualified review report.
Mixed quarter: topline grew but profits nearly halved on rising costs and widening paints losses, signalling margin pressure for shareholders.
