Saurashtra Cement posted Q1 FY27 standalone revenue of Rs 456.75 crore, up about 8 percent YoY from Rs 423.57 crore. Net profit fell to Rs 9.20 crore from Rs 16.79 crore, a 45 percent decline. Cement segment profit dropped while the paints segment loss widened to Rs 9.36 crore from Rs 4.18 crore. Operating margin compressed from about 6.2 percent to 2.6 percent. Consolidated net profit was Rs 9.13 crore. Auditor Manubhai and Shah LLP gave an unqualified limited review.
Weak profitability despite revenue growth. Paints losses are a red flag. Watch for margin recovery in coming quarters.
