Saurashtra Cement Limited has reported audited financial results for FY 2025-26 with an unmodified (clean) audit opinion from Manubhai & Shah LLP. Profit before tax declined significantly to Rs 652.73 lakhs from Rs 1,401.87 lakhs in the previous year, a drop of approximately 53%. The company recorded exceptional items of Rs 1,011.37 lakhs (expense) during the year. Operating cash flow remained positive at Rs 3,630.78 lakhs. The Board also approved appointment of new cost auditors (M/s Goyal & Co.) and internal auditors (M/s Pipalia Singhal & Associates) for FY 2026-27. The balance sheet shows total assets of Rs 15,879.35 lakhs with equity of Rs 9,616.36 lakhs.
The significant decline in profitability, with PBT falling by over half due to exceptional expenses, may concern investors. However, the clean audit opinion and positive operating cash flow provide some comfort about the company's financial health.
