Semac Construction reported a strong turnaround in Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Consolidated revenue from operations jumped to Rs 5,157.90 lakhs from Rs 2,098.26 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 146% year-on-year. The company swung from a consolidated net loss of Rs 236.28 lakhs in Q1 FY25 to a net profit of Rs 107.76 lakhs this quarter. On a standalone basis, revenue rose to Rs 4,723.32 lakhs (vs Rs 1,655.88 lakhs) and profit after tax came in at Rs 100.41 lakhs (vs a loss of Rs 270.86 lakhs). Consolidated EPS turned positive at Rs 3.46 from a loss of Rs 7.58. The statutory auditor SS Kothari Mehta & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report. The 48th Annual General Meeting was scheduled for September 12, 2025.
A clear operational turnaround with revenue more than doubling and a return to profitability should be viewed positively by shareholders. The previous quarters had losses, so this swing to profit suggests improving project execution and cost discipline, though investors should watch for sustainability of margins in coming quarters.
