Shalimar Paints reported standalone revenue of Rs 153.46 crore for Q1 FY26, up about 19.6% from Rs 128.33 crore in the same quarter last year, but down from Rs 177.83 crore in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25). The company continued to post a loss of Rs 16.66 crore for the quarter, though this narrowed sharply from Rs 27.02 crore in Q1 FY25. Full-year FY25 ended with a loss of Rs 80.11 crore on revenue of Rs 599.06 crore. Loss per share for Q1 FY26 stood at Rs 1.99 versus Rs 3.23 a year earlier. Statutory auditor Walker Chandiok & Co LLP issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. Consolidated results were broadly in line, with a loss of Rs 16.67 crore.
Revenue growth and a narrower loss are mildly positive signs, but the company remains loss-making with EPS still negative, signalling no quick turnaround in profitability. Sequential revenue decline from Q4 FY25 and continued losses mean shareholders should not expect near-term earnings recovery or dividends.
