Shalimar Paints has reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone and consolidated unaudited results. Revenue from operations rose about 19.6% year-on-year to ₹153.46 crore, up from ₹128.33 crore in Q1 FY25, though it fell from ₹177.83 crore in the preceding Q4 FY25. The company continued to post a loss of ₹16.66 crore in Q1 FY26, but this is significantly narrower than the ₹27.02 crore loss reported in Q1 FY25. Total expenses stood at ₹171.68 crore, and finance costs more than doubled to ₹6.15 crore from ₹2.88 crore a year ago. Loss per share improved to ₹(1.99) from ₹(3.23). The auditor, Walker Chandiok & Co LLP, issued an unmodified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated results.
For shareholders, the results show a mixed picture: revenue growth and a sharp narrowing of losses are positive signs, but the company remains loss-making and finance costs have surged, which is a concern for future profitability. Near-term stock reaction may be modestly positive on the improving trajectory, though persistent losses keep the investment thesis weak.
