Shalimar Wires Industries reported Q3 FY26 total income of Rs. 3,651.33 lacs, up roughly 15.7% from Rs. 3,157.13 lacs a year ago. Profit after tax jumped to Rs. 148.32 lacs versus Rs. 39.77 lacs in Q3 FY25, a near 273% rise. For the nine-month period, total income climbed to Rs. 10,543.62 lacs (vs Rs. 9,711.70 lacs, up about 8.6%) and PAT rose to Rs. 350.33 lacs from Rs. 145.96 lacs. Basic EPS for the quarter stood at Rs. 0.35 versus Rs. 0.09 earlier. The auditor issued an unmodified limited review report but noted that provisions for contingent liabilities (Rs. 77.28 lacs in disputed claims and Rs. 811.20 lacs in government appeals) and current/deferred tax were not made in these interim numbers; depreciation was also estimated and may be revised at year-end.
The sharp year-on-year jump in profitability is a positive read for shareholders, but unresolved contingent liabilities of nearly Rs. 9 crore and reliance on estimated depreciation mean the full-year audited picture may differ.
