Shankara Buildpro reported Q1FY27 revenue of Rs 1,890 cr, up 21% YoY, with PAT at Rs 35.9 cr, up 12%. Steel volume grew 10% to 2.5 lakh tons despite soft industry demand. EBITDA margin came in at 3.26%, hit by about Rs 10 cr of inventory loss from steel price swings. Normalized margin would be around 3.8%. Management maintained 1.2 MT steel volume and 25 percent non-steel growth targets for FY27, and guided to 4 percent medium-term EBITDA margin. ROCE stood at 35 percent. Board proposed a stock split from Rs 10 to Rs 2 face value and plans 5 more fulfilment centres this year.
Stock split aids retail liquidity and participation; steady volume growth and margin recovery guidance are positives. Q1 inventory loss is seen as transient.
