Shardul Securities reported a massive financial deterioration for FY26 ended March 2026. The standalone net loss was Rs 5,895.42 lakhs compared to a profit of Rs 2,158.82 lakhs in FY25, while consolidated net loss was Rs 4,913.66 lakhs versus profit of Rs 3,299.13 lakhs in FY25. Revenue from operations collapsed by 87% to Rs 536.70 lakhs from Rs 4,248.90 lakhs, largely due to significant net loss on fair value changes of Rs 5,452.34 lakhs. Finance costs jumped 12x to Rs 1,533.20 lakhs due to increased borrowings. The company appointed M/s Atul HMV & Associates LLP as internal auditor. Statutory auditors issued an Unmodified Opinion (clean audit). Borrowings surged from Rs 2,315.85 lakhs to Rs 27,401.68 lakhs on standalone basis.
This is a severe deterioration in financial performance with the company swinging from profit to significant loss. The sharp increase in debt and negative operating cash flow of Rs 986.69 lakhs are concerning. However, the clean audit opinion provides some comfort on financial statement reliability. Shareholders should monitor the company's ability to service the significantly higher debt.
