Acuité Ratings downgraded 16 debt facilities of Share India Securities from ACUITE A1+ (short-term highest grade) to ACUITE A4+ and from ACUITE A+ to ACUITE BB+ for long-term instruments. Total quantum across all facilities is Rs 1,550 crore, primarily Bank Guarantees (Rs 1,278 crore). The company disputes the rating action, stating it had already switched to CRISIL Ratings, surrendered several facilities, and informed Acuité in March 2026. The company claims Acuité continued the rating despite these communications. CRISIL ratings remain in force and have been reaffirmed separately.
Despite the downgrade, the company claims these facilities are non-operational and ratings from CRISIL (their current rating agency) continue to be reaffirmed. However, any investor seeing Acuité's downgrade may raise concerns about the company's debt management and communication practices with rating agencies.
