Board approved an interim dividend of Rs 80 per share for FY2025-26, payable on November 14 to shareholders on the November 3 record date. Consolidated Q2 revenue rose to Rs 4,761.07 crore from Rs 4,054.17 crore, and net profit jumped to Rs 309.82 crore from Rs 76.64 crore. Six-month profit was Rs 953.48 crore. A one-time Rs 23.68 crore power asset charge reduced quarterly EBITDA by about Rs 30 per MT.
The Rs 80 interim dividend supports shareholder income and may lift sentiment, but the one-time asset charge and higher debt can weigh on the stock.
