On the reaction day the stock moved 8.7 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 9.3 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Quarter revenue rose 73% to Rs 27,931 lakh from Rs 16,135 lakh. The increase included 212,549 tonnes sold under Hi-Bond, which had no prior-year sales. Higher fuel and freight costs plus Rs 1,491 lakh of shutdown spending pushed earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to a Rs 130 lakh loss from Rs 2,048 lakh profit. Profit after tax was a Rs 1,628 lakh loss versus Rs 1,022 lakh profit. Half-year loss was Rs 945 lakh.
Stronger sales and positive half-year cash flow help, but the quarterly loss and higher borrowing costs may pressure sentiment.
