On the reaction day the stock moved 3.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 2.9 pts more than its Iron & Steel Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 and half-year unaudited consolidated results were approved. Revenue rose 25.8% to ₹4,572.02 crore from ₹3,634.02 crore; profit after tax rose to ₹260.45 crore from ₹215.68 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization rose to ₹608.56 crore, lifting margin to 13.3% from 7.7%. The auditor gave an unmodified review. CRISIL upgraded the rating to AA Plus Stable.
Stronger quarterly growth and a higher credit rating may support the stock and improve borrowing terms. Steel demand and prices are key risks.
