Shyam Metalics reported Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue from operations of Rs. 4,418.84 crore, up about 22% from Rs. 3,611.61 crore in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax rose modestly to Rs. 290.67 crore (from Rs. 276.12 crore), with EBITDA at Rs. 633.23 crore. The Board declared a 1st Interim Dividend of Rs. 1.80 per share (18% of face value) for FY26, with a record date of July 28, 2025. The Board also approved raising up to Rs. 4,500 crore through equity or equity-linked securities (QIP, FPO, preferential, etc.) and up to Rs. 3,000 crore through non-convertible debentures, subject to shareholder approval. The 23rd AGM is scheduled for August 26, 2025. The statutory auditor MSKA & Associates issued an unmodified limited review conclusion.
Strong top-line growth signals healthy demand, though the relatively flat PAT suggests margin pressure from higher depreciation and finance costs. The large proposed fund raise (up to Rs. 7,500 crore combined) could lead to equity dilution or higher debt, which may weigh on the stock; however, the interim dividend offers near-term support to shareholders.
