Shyam Metalics reported Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue of ₹4,418.84 crore, up about 22% from ₹3,611.61 crore in Q1 FY25. Consolidated EBITDA rose to ₹633.23 crore (~17% growth), while profit after tax was ₹290.67 crore (up ~5%). On a standalone basis, PAT jumped to ₹167.64 crore from ₹99.53 crore, a 68% jump. The Board declared a first interim dividend of ₹1.80 per share (18% of face value), with the record date set for July 28, 2025. It also approved plans to raise up to ₹4,500 crore via equity or equity-linked instruments and up to ₹3,000 crore via non-convertible debentures. The 23rd AGM is scheduled for August 26, 2025.
Strong top-line growth and a healthy interim dividend should be viewed positively by shareholders. However, the large proposed equity and debt raises (up to ₹7,500 crore combined) could lead to dilution and higher interest costs, which may pressure the stock in the short term.
