Siemens Limited posted Q3 FY2025 consolidated revenue of Rs 4,347 crore, up 15.5% year-on-year, driven by strong growth in Smart Infrastructure and Mobility segments. New orders rose 13% to Rs 5,680 crore and order backlog grew 8% to Rs 42,845 crore. However, profit after tax declined 3.1% to Rs 423 crore, hurt by lower other income. For the nine months ended June 30, 2025, standalone PAT from continuing operations fell about 21% to Rs 1,188 crore, while consolidated PAT from continuing operations declined nearly 20% to Rs 1,203 crore. The Board also approved shifting the financial year from October-September to April-March, making the current year an 18-month transition period ending March 2026. The Energy business demerger to Siemens Energy India Ltd became effective March 25, 2025 (appointed date March 1, 2025), and is shown as discontinued operations.
Strong order momentum and revenue growth are positive signals, but near-term profitability is under pressure from lower other income and demerger-related costs. Shareholders should note the financial year change to April-March and that prior period numbers have been re-presented with Energy as discontinued operations, which affects year-on-year comparability.
