Singer India Limited reported its audited results for Q4 FY25 and full year FY25, approved by the Board on May 22, 2025. Full-year revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 43,167 lakhs (FY24: Rs. 42,541 lakhs), while Q4 revenue grew to Rs. 12,167 lakhs (Q4 FY24: Rs. 11,348 lakhs). Net profit for the year jumped to Rs. 739 lakhs (FY24: Rs. 450 lakhs), with Q4 profit at Rs. 405 lakhs versus Rs. 233 lakhs a year ago. EPS for the year stood at Rs. 1.20 versus Rs. 0.73 earlier. Auditor B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, but flagged an Emphasis of Matter regarding the cancellation of a BIS license for a Zig-Zag sewing machine supplier, with a Delhi High Court writ petition still pending (next hearing September 8, 2025). Operating cash flow turned sharply negative at Rs. (2,491) lakhs compared to a positive Rs. 139 lakhs in FY24, largely due to higher trade receivables and inventory build-up.
Strong profit growth driven by the core Sewing Machines segment is positive for shareholders, but the negative operating cash flow and unresolved BIS regulatory issue on Zig-Zag imports are watchpoints that may pressure near-term stock sentiment.
