On the reaction day the stock moved 2.2 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 2.6 pts more than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
NSE and BSE fined SJVN Rs 5.42 lakh including GST for non-compliance with SEBI listing rules on board composition, mainly failure to appoint independent directors and a woman director, for 92 days in Q2 FY26. SJVN told exchanges the delay is because director appointments are made by the central government through the Ministry of Power, not by the board itself, and the company has been requesting the ministry to expedite the process.
Small fine, but risk of trading moving to Z category and suspension if non-compliance continues next quarter.
