SKF India reported Q4 standalone revenue of INR 5,945.4 million, up 20.7% year-over-year, driven by strong demand across two/three-wheelers, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles. However, profit before exceptional items and tax dropped significantly to INR 533.8 million from INR 1,107.4 million in the same quarter last year due to non-recurring expenses related to demerger and new regulations. For the full year, revenue grew 15.4% to INR 21,295.9 million, but profit before tax fell to INR 2,350 million from INR 3,551.5 million. The company completed a corporate restructuring creating two independently focused entities and cited continued momentum in the Indian automotive sector. Management highlighted investments in manufacturing, digital capabilities, and sustainability initiatives.
Strong revenue growth was offset by substantially lower profitability due to exceptional demerger-related costs, suggesting near-term margin pressure despite healthy top-line momentum. The restructuring may create longer-term operational clarity but investors should monitor for additional one-time expenses.
