Sobhagya Mercantile reported strong Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations of ₹5,121.58 lakh, up about 86% from ₹2,758.65 lakh in Q2 FY25. Net profit for the quarter was ₹469.52 lakh, more than double the ₹210.80 lakh earned a year ago. For the half year (H1 FY26), revenue nearly doubled to ₹10,353.68 lakh and net profit jumped to ₹1,031.53 lakh versus ₹430.79 lakh in H1 FY25. Segment EBITDA margin expanded to about 28.4% in H1 FY26 from around 24% in H1 FY25, driven mainly by the Engineering segment. The company also received a Letter of Intent from Assam Mineral Development Corporation for mining work at the Vadakhol Asoli mineral block in Maharashtra, which could open a new revenue stream.
Strong top-line and bottom-line growth, along with margin expansion, is positive for shareholders. The new mining contract could further boost future revenues, though execution remains to be seen. Short-term stock sentiment is likely to be favorable.
