Sonal Adhesives reported H1 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 6,319.42 lakhs, up about 21.3% from Rs. 5,212.58 lakhs in H1 FY25. However, profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 71.28 lakhs from Rs. 107.18 lakhs, a decline of roughly 33%, with Q2 PAT dropping to Rs. 26.53 lakhs (from Rs. 44.75 lakhs a year ago). EPS for H1 stood at Rs. 1.18 versus Rs. 1.78 last year. Operating cash flow turned negative at Rs. (279.72) lakhs for H1 versus a positive Rs. 690.01 lakhs for full FY25, driven by a large build-up in inventories and trade receivables. Total borrowings rose to about Rs. 1,543 lakhs against equity of Rs. 967.62 lakhs, taking the debt-equity ratio above 1.5x. The Board also approved the appointment of Mr. Amish Ashar as the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer.
Positive top-line growth is being offset by sharp profit compression and stretched working capital, which has pushed operating cash flow into the red and lifted leverage — near-term shareholder sentiment may remain cautious despite the revenue uptick.
