Sonata Software's US unit SSNA had filed an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition against OBSA Operating Company, LLC in the United States. The US court dismissed the petition as a sanction against OBSA for failing to comply with Rule 1007(a)(2) of the US Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. OBSA then executed a general assignment for the benefit of creditors (ABC) under California law as an out-of-court alternative to Chapter 7. SSNA is included among the creditors. This is an update to an earlier intimation dated 7 March 2026.
Dismissal of the Chapter 7 petition and OBSA's ABC process may affect SSNA's recovery of dues. Investors should watch for any financial impact disclosure.
