Sovereign Diamonds, a Mumbai-based 18K fine jewellery manufacturer, reported un-audited Q3 FY26 results with net sales of Rs. 283.48 lakhs, a sharp drop from Rs. 1,154.96 lakhs in Q3 FY25. The company posted a Q3 standalone profit of Rs. 40.17 lakhs (vs Rs. 10.15 lakhs YoY), reversing the trend from earlier quarters. However, for the nine months ended Dec 2025, the company swung to a net loss of Rs. 434.83 lakhs from a profit of Rs. 13.84 lakhs in the same period last year. The nine-month revenue fell to Rs. 1,196.79 lakhs from Rs. 1,606.59 lakhs (a ~25% YoY decline), while cost of materials consumed surged to Rs. 1,518.96 lakhs from Rs. 870.98 lakhs, driving the bulk of the loss in the first half. The statutory auditor (J.D. Zatakia & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report.
The 9-month loss is a significant concern, largely driven by the first-half cost spike, but the return to profit in Q3 and lower Q3 finance costs suggest some operational recovery. Shareholders should watch for margin sustainability and whether the elevated input costs normalise in Q4.
