Spectrum Foods reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs 765.73 lakhs, up about 27% from Rs 600.74 lakhs in Q2 FY25, driven by its salt manufacturing and power generation segments. For the half year ended September 30, 2025, revenue grew to Rs 1,484.84 lakhs vs Rs 1,157.89 lakhs in H1 FY25, a ~28% jump. However, net profit fell sharply — Q2 PAT was Rs 155.08 lakhs (down ~19% YoY) and H1 PAT was Rs 304.08 lakhs (down ~26% YoY) — as raw material costs and inventory changes ate into margins. The board also revised the forfeiture of equity shares from 205,038 to 206,326 shares, appointed Mrs. Payal Singh as new Company Secretary, and accepted the resignation of Ms. Prerna Sharma. The statutory auditor (R.P. Khandelwal & Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Strong top-line growth is being offset by a worrying margin squeeze and a negative cash position (cash and equivalents swung to Rs -28.68 lakhs from Rs 646.50 lakhs), with negative operating cash flow of Rs 178.36 lakhs in H1. Despite the earnings dip, PAT remains positive and the audit report is clean, but shareholders should watch for further deterioration in cash flows and margins.
