Spencer's Retail reported FY2026 standalone revenue of Rs 1,52,254 lakhs, down 10.5% from Rs 1,70,092 lakhs in FY2025. The company posted a standalone loss after tax of Rs 13,360 lakhs, improved from Rs 18,478 lakhs loss in the prior year. Consolidated revenue was Rs 1,80,000 lakhs (down from Rs 1,99,520 lakhs) with a consolidated loss after tax of Rs 24,933 lakhs, roughly flat versus Rs 24,636 lakhs loss in FY2025. A key concern is that current liabilities exceed current assets by Rs 64,722 lakhs (standalone) and Rs 89,593 lakhs (consolidated). Management stated the company has access to unutilised credit lines and promoter support to meet obligations. The Board also approved grant of 2,49,000 stock options to eligible employees under the ESOP plan 2019. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
The company continues to burn cash with significant negative equity, raising going concern doubts despite management's reassurance on liquidity. Revenue decline and persistent losses suggest operational challenges remain, though cost-reduction measures are helping narrow standalone losses.
