The Board of Sreechem Resins approved audited financial results for Q4 and FY25 on 30th May 2025. Revenue from operations fell sharply to ₹3,550.28 lakhs in FY25 from ₹5,297.29 lakhs in FY24, a drop of about 33%. Q4 revenue also nearly halved to ₹883.24 lakhs from ₹1,785.59 lakhs a year ago. The company slipped into a loss with a Profit After Tax of ₹(29.87) lakhs versus a profit of ₹234.23 lakhs last year, translating to a negative EPS of ₹(0.88) versus ₹5.90. Cost of materials consumed surged to ₹2,622.81 lakhs from ₹1,797.48 lakhs, squeezing margins and turning profit-before-tax negative at ₹(52.04) lakhs. Total assets declined to ₹1,726.50 lakhs from ₹2,010.44 lakhs, while short-term borrowings came down to ₹223.25 lakhs from ₹392.18 lakhs. Operating cash flow, however, improved to ₹329.48 lakhs from ₹78.87 lakhs. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
Negative for shareholders — the company swung from profit to loss on the back of a steep revenue decline and rising raw material costs. Short-term borrowings have come down and equity is slightly higher, which is a small comfort, but the weak top-line and bottom-line print is likely to weigh on sentiment.
