Sri Lotus Developers and Realty Limited reported audited results for FY2025-26 with consolidated profit after tax of Rs. 2,370.85 million (up from Rs. 1,871.31 million YoY). The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.50 per equity share (50% on face value of Rs. 1) for FY2025-26, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM. Notably, the Promoter and Promoter Group shareholders holding 81.87% of total equity shares voluntarily waived their right to receive the dividend, which has been accepted by the Board. This means the dividend will effectively flow only to the minority public shareholders (18.13% of shares). The Board stated the funds retained will be used towards expansion of the Company. The record date for dividend payment will be fixed and intimated separately.
The dividend announcement is positive for minority shareholders as they will receive the full Rs. 0.50 per share while promoters have waived their entitlement. However, the actual cash outflow for the company is limited since 81.87% of shares are held by waiving promoters. Without knowing the current stock price, the dividend yield cannot be calculated to assess relative attractiveness.
