On the reaction day the stock moved 0.7 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and in line with its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Both BSE and NSE have rejected Star Cement's application to reclassify 29 promoter group members (including Kamakhya Chamaria and several HUF entities) as public shareholders under Regulation 31A. The exchanges said the February 2026 application was missing individual request letters from each promoter, as required under SEBI rules. The company says it is reviewing the rejection for further action.
Procedural setback, not a penalty. No change to promoter status for now; reclassification attempt is on hold pending company review.
