On the reaction day the stock moved 5.3 pts less than its Cement & Cement Products peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Star Cement declared an interim dividend of Rs 1 per share (100% of face value) for FY2026-27, payable within 30 days. The record date is 13 November 2026. The board also approved unaudited Q2 and H1 FY2026-27 results and deferred a proposed Rs 1,500 crore securities issue, with projects to be funded through internal accruals or bank borrowings.
The dividend supports shareholder income, and deferring the share issue avoids dilution. More bank borrowing may increase debt and interest costs.
