Star Paper Mills Limited submitted its unaudited Q3 FY26 (quarter ended Dec 31, 2025) and nine-months financial results, which were approved by the Board on February 13, 2026, along with a clean Limited Review Report from Lodha & Co LLP. Revenue from operations for Q3 stood at Rs. 7,182.37 lakhs, down sharply from Rs. 9,748.46 lakhs in the same quarter last year (a decline of around 26% year-on-year) and also fell from Rs. 10,437.19 lakhs in the September 2025 quarter. For the nine months ended December 2025, revenue from operations declined to Rs. 29,735.31 lakhs from Rs. 32,226.99 lakhs in the prior-year period. Profit after tax for the quarter rose modestly to Rs. 821.69 lakhs (from Rs. 771.08 lakhs), while nine-month PAT eased to Rs. 3,406.43 lakhs from Rs. 3,613.36 lakhs. Basic EPS for the quarter was Rs. 5.26 versus Rs. 4.94 in Q3 FY25. The company continues to operate in a single segment of paper and paperboard products.
The sharp quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year drop in revenue is a concern, although bottom-line held up reasonably well in the standalone quarter. Shareholders should watch for explanations on the demand/pricing weakness in the paper segment, while a stable EPS and clean audit opinion limit near-term worries.
