Star Paper Mills reported Q1 FY27 results with revenue from operations at Rs 10,346.19 lakh, up about 2.3% from Rs 10,115.75 lakh a year ago. Profit after tax fell 14% to Rs 1,100.51 lakh from Rs 1,280.92 lakh. Total income stood at Rs 11,740.15 lakh, aided by Rs 946.52 lakh in unrealized gains on mutual fund valuations. Total expenses rose about 6% to Rs 10,263.47 lakh. PBT was Rs 1,476.68 lakh versus Rs 1,631.99 lakh. EPS came in at Rs 7.05 versus Rs 8.21. Auditor Lodha and Co issued a clean limited review report.
Mixed quarter: mild revenue growth but profit dip on higher costs. Bulk of other income came from paper unrealized mutual fund gains, so core earnings were weaker.
