SAIL reported Q3 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 27,371 crore, up 11.8% YoY. Net profit jumped to Rs 441.7 crore from Rs 125.8 crore. For 9M FY26, revenue rose 9.3% to Rs 79,997 crore and PAT grew 60% to Rs 1,554 crore. EPS for the quarter was Rs 1.07. Auditor issued a qualified review report flagging entry tax, DVC advances, and water charges demands. An exceptional item of Rs 338 crore for gratuity was booked in 9M FY26.
Strong profit growth on better realizations, but auditor qualifications on over Rs 1,700 crore of demands and ongoing legal issues remain a concern.
