Revenue for the September quarter rose to Rs 1,929.92 crore from Rs 774.40 crore, while after-tax profit reached Rs 96.34 crore versus a Rs 25.98 crore loss. Half-year revenue was Rs 3,509.82 crore and profit Rs 118.48 crore. The board declared a Rs 1.50 dividend and approved about Rs 1,400 crore of new manufacturing capacity in Maharashtra over five years, subject to approvals. Prior-period figures were regrouped for comparison.
The sales, profit and dividend support sentiment. New capacity may lift earnings, but higher debt and project delays could weigh on the stock.
