On the reaction day the stock moved 1.4 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Sterlite Technologies shared an update on the UK patent case filed by Fujikura Ltd and Fujikura Europe in November 2023, alleging that STL's ribbed cables infringed patent EP 3 796 060 B1. The UK High Court issued a split judgment: STL's ultra-high-fibre-count cables do not infringe, but low-fibre-count cables were held to be infringing. Financial impact is not yet ascertainable. STL plans to file an appeal against the ruling on low-fibre-count cables.
Partial loss in UK patent case; appeal planned. Financial impact not quantifiable yet; may affect UK low-fibre cable business.
