On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 1.4 pts more than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

In the October 29 earnings call, management reported Q2 FY27 standalone income of Rs 781 crore, up 26.5%, EBITDA of Rs 84.5 crore and profit after tax of Rs 51.2 crore. Consolidated profit was Rs 23 crore. Phase 1 ABS expansion remains on track for FY27, while Thailand cost savings and stronger volumes are expected over the next one-and-a-half to two years.
Profit growth and new ABS capacity are positives, but a weak Thailand business and delayed cost savings may keep consolidated earnings under pressure.
