Sudarshan Chemical Industries filed its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results. Standalone revenue declined about 8% year-on-year to ₹531.2 crore from ₹579.7 crore, reflecting soft underlying demand. Standalone profit after tax, however, jumped roughly 78% to ₹73.3 crore from ₹41.1 crore, with a large part of the boost coming from a foreign exchange gain of about ₹56.9 crore reported in other expenses. Consolidated revenue surged to ₹2,506.9 crore from ₹633.6 crore and consolidated PAT rose to ₹55 crore from ₹29.4 crore, almost entirely driven by the Heubach Group acquisition that closed in March 2025 and is now included for a full quarter. The board also approved the appointment of three new directors, and the company repaid ₹99 crore of non-convertible debentures in full in July 2025.
Short-term optics look strong on profits, but standalone top-line weakness and reliance on a one-time FX gain warrant caution. Consolidated numbers reflect the scale-up from Heubach plus ₹32.8 crore of integration costs; investors should focus on standalone volume recovery, Heubach integration synergies, and how much of the FX tailwind sustains.
