Sumitomo Chemical India reported strong Q1 FY26 results with standalone revenue from operations rising to ₹10,480.69 million, up about 26% from ₹8,317.84 million in the same quarter last year. Standalone profit after tax jumped to ₹1,798.06 million from ₹1,283.91 million, a growth of roughly 40% year-on-year. Consolidated results were equally robust, with revenue at ₹10,567.79 million and PAT at ₹1,780.96 million, also up around 40% YoY. Standalone EPS stood at ₹3.60 (not annualised) versus ₹2.57 in Q1 FY25. The auditors (BSR & Co. LLP) issued an unmodified limited review opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Strong double-digit growth in both revenue and profits signals robust business momentum and is likely to be viewed positively by shareholders. The result reinforces confidence in the company's agro-chemicals segment performance heading into the key kharif season.
