Sumitomo Chemical India reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) unaudited standalone and consolidated results, approved by the Board on 4 August 2025. Standalone revenue from operations rose to ₹10,480.69 million, up about 26% from ₹8,317.84 million in Q1 FY25, aided by strong demand during the Kharif season. Profit after tax climbed to ₹1,798.06 million, up roughly 40% year-on-year from ₹1,283.91 million, with EPS at ₹3.60 vs ₹2.57. Consolidated revenue and PAT showed a similar trajectory (₹10,567.79 million and ₹1,780.96 million respectively). B S R & Co. LLP issued an unmodified limited review report on both sets of results. The company operates in a single segment (agro-chemicals) and flagged that its business is seasonal and monsoon-dependent, and also noted the ongoing Delhi High Court hearing on the Glyphosate usage notification.
Strong double-digit growth in both revenue and profit, along with margin expansion, is a positive signal for shareholders and could support the stock in the near term, though the business remains exposed to monsoon variability and regulatory developments around Glyphosate.
