Sumitomo Chemical India reported audited financial results for FY2026. Standalone revenue grew 3.1% to ₹31,858 million from ₹30,904 million in FY2025. Profit after tax (PAT) increased 8.2% to ₹5,431 million from ₹5,019 million, driven by higher other income (₹1,461 million vs ₹1,194 million) and improved cost management. Consolidated PAT stood at ₹5,430 million, up 7.2% from ₹5,064 million. EPS improved to ₹10.88 per share from ₹10.06. The Board declared a dividend of ₹1.30 per share (13% on ₹10 face value), aggregating ₹648.89 million, subject to shareholder approval. Operating cash flows remained strong at ₹4,434 million. Auditors B S R & Co. LLP issued an unqualified opinion with no going concern or emphasis of matter comments.
Solid profit growth of ~8% and margin expansion signal operational efficiency gains. The dividend provides shareholder returns, but modest revenue growth (~3%) reflects a challenging agrochemical environment and seasonal dependency.
